Grace Collection
A dream planted today for generations to enjoy tomorrow.

THE GRACE COLLECTION
The heart of what Field of Grace will one day become
While we currently grow and share beautiful dahlias, our long-term dream is to develop our own unique dahlia varieties — blooms that carry their own story, beauty and legacy.
Each future variety will be carefully selected, grown and named with intention, reflecting themes of hope, faith, grace and restoration.
“Every great garden begins with a single seed and a heart full of hope.”

A LITTLE DAHLIA MAGIC
Every seed is a little gift
Many people are surprised to learn that dahlias grown from seed are never exactly the same as their parent plants. Unlike tubers, which create an identical copy of the mother plant, every dahlia seed contains a completely unique genetic combination — different colours, petal shapes, sizes and growth habits.
Planting a dahlia seed is a little like opening a gift — you never quite know what beauty might emerge. Behind every named variety are countless seedlings grown, observed and evaluated over several seasons.
THE SCIENCE OF BEAUTY
Dahlias are octoploids, carrying eight sets of chromosomes — far more than most plants. This genetic richness is what makes every seedling a potential masterpiece. Within each seed lies the possibility of something never seen before.
THE JOURNEY AHEAD
Grown slowly, with intention
Over the coming years, we hope to grow thousands of seedlings, searching for those rare and extraordinary blooms that deserve a place in gardens across Australia and beyond. Some may never progress beyond a single season. Others may become treasured varieties with names and stories of their own.
Plant
Hand-pollinated seeds, sown into trays each spring.
Observe
Every seedling grown, watched and recorded across seasons.
Select
Only the rare, exceptional blooms move forward.
Name
Those worthy of introduction receive a name and a story.
“The most beautiful things are often grown slowly.”
For now, The Grace Collection is a dream taking root — a collection not yet defined by flowers, but by hope. We invite you to follow along as we plant, learn, experiment and discover. Perhaps one day, together, we’ll celebrate the first officially named Field of Grace dahlia. Until then, we’re trusting the process and believing that grace grows one season at a time.

Where art meets nature
Dahlias are octoploids, meaning they carry eight sets of chromosomes — far more than most plants. This genetic richness is what makes every seedling a potential masterpiece, and every bloom a unique work of art.
From the delicate collarette to the dramatic dinner-plate, dahlias express an extraordinary range of forms, sizes and colour combinations. Within each seed lies the possibility of something never seen before.
The Journey Ahead
The Grace Collection represents our commitment to that journey. Over the coming years, we hope to grow thousands of seedlings, searching for those rare and extraordinary blooms that deserve a place in gardens across Australia and beyond.
